Open Water Class

The Open Water Diver course fee at American Divers International includes:

● Course tuition & enrollment fees

● All class and pool training fees

● Instructor fees for Open Water Certification dives

● Complete audio visual presentations

● Major equipment for pool sessions and certification dives

° Regulator, BC, wetsuit, tanks

● Air fills for pool sessions & certification dives

● Crew Pack with:

° PADI Open Water Manual with Crew Pak *

° Log Book *

° Recreational Dive Planner (dive tables) *

* These materials will be yours to keep. They are excellent and important reference material for all your dive activities.

Course Structure:

The course takes place over four weeks:

● Two sessions per week: either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

° From 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

● Sessions alternate between classroom and pool***.

● Four (4) Open water certification dives**

° Done the weekend following the last class/pool session

Two dives on Saturday and two dives on Sunday

** It’s important to note that our certification dives are NOT done in alligator infested lakes. They are done in the ocean where you will dive on real coral reefs and enjoy seeing all the wonders of the underwater world. You will do the type of diving you envisioned doing when you first decided to learn to scuba dive.

*** All pool-training sessions at ADI are conducted in our own 12 ft HEATED POOL located at ADI!

Just so there’s no misunderstanding, here’s what is NOT included in the course fee:

● Personal Equipment (See Note below)

° Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Booties

° Compass, weightbelt, weights, gloves, slate

● Boat Fees

° Open water dives done over a weekend

° On SE Florida coast (Boynton or Pompano)

° Two dives on Saturday, two on Sunday

° $65 per day, or $130 total

Transportation, Lodging, & meals for dive weekend

Note: You are welcome to use your own personal equipment, but we must review it to ensure it meets the requirements for scuba training. (While it may be a favorite of yours, that mask with Mickey’s ears may fall short of being adequate!) If you don’t own your own equipment, please don’t buy any until we’ve had a chance explain what is required.

Course Fee: $299 per person (a $100 is required to reserve a space in the class. The balance is due by the class start date.)

° If you bring a friend, the cost is $279 per person

° If you bring two friends, the cost is $259 per person

° If you bring three friends, the cost is $239 per person

● Personal Equipment must be purchased before the first pool session

● Boat Fees must be paid prior to the open water dives

So, what happens if you, for any reason, don’t pass the course. This rarely happens, but if it does we will give you a full refund for:

● Class fees (less the $100.00 Deposit)

● Boat Fees for Open Water Dives (if not used)

● All personal equipment purchased from ADI

So, give it a try… you’re only risking $100.

If you have any questions, please give us a call. Or, better yet, stop by the store so we can show you around. We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to a wonderful new world to explore!!
