The price you pay for the Open Water Diver course at American Divers International includes:

  • Course Tuition & Enrollment fees
  • All Class and Pool Training fees

  • Complete Audio-Visual Presentations
  • Full Scuba Equipment Rental (Wetsuit, Tanks, BC, Regulator, & Console)
  • Air Fills for Pool and Open Water Dives
  • Instructor Fees for Open Water Training Dives

  • Full use of pool and facility for practice sessions

In addition to this you will receive the PADI Crew-Pak with the Recreational Dive Planner (Dive Tables), Log Book, and the PADI Open Water Diver Manual.  These materials will be yours to keep.  This is very important since there will be times in the future when you will want to review information presented in the manual.

All pool-training sessions at ADI are conducted in our own 12ft deep heated pool located at our facility.

The course takes place over a period of four weeks with two sessions per week either Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday.  These sessions are from 6:30PM to 10:00PM and alternate between classroom sessions and pool sessions. On the weekend following the final session the open water dives are conducted with two on Saturday and two on Sunday.

The price of the course is $279.00  Bring one friend to take the course with you and the price drops to $259.00 each.  Two friends and yourself drops the price to $239.00 each.  Three friends and yourself drops the price to $219.00 each.  Call us at (321) 453-0600 for details.

So that you are fully informed there are some things that are not included with this fee:

  • Snorkeling Equipment (Mask, Fins, Snorkel, and Boots)
  • Weight Belt, Weights, Gloves, Compass, and Slate
  • To complete your certification your instructor will take you on four open water dives amongst the excellent dive sites off Boynton Beach and Pompano Beach.  This occurs over a weekend with two dives on each day.  While we cover the cost of the instructor, basic scuba gear, air fills, etc., you will be responsible for cost of the boat trips (2, each $54.00), transportation, lodging, and meals.

In regards to the equipment you need to provide for the course; if you already own this gear you are welcome to use it provided that you bring it to us so that we can determine if it is adequate for scuba diving.  (While it may be a favorite of yours, that mask with Mickey’s ears may fall short of being appropriate.)  If you don’t already own this gear please don’t buy until we’ve had a chance to explain to you exactly what you need.

It’s important to point out that we don’t take you to alligator-infested lakes or flooded marl pits for your open water training. We take you to the ocean where you will dive on real coral reefs and enjoy seeing all the wonderful ocean critters that inhabit them.  You will do the type of diving you envisioned doing when you first decided to learn to scuba dive.

For more detailed information call us at (321) 453-0600 or, better yet, pay us a visit, give us a chance to show you our facilities and explain how we can supply you with the gear you need for the course and guarantee its fit and comfort.  We are located at:

American Divers International 691 North Courtenay Parkway

Merritt Island, Florida 32953

Finally, you may be wondering what will happen if you, for any reason, don’t pass the course.  This rarely happens but if it does we will give you a full refund for:

  • Class fees less the $100 deposit.
  • Open water dives (if not used)
  • All personal dive equipment purchased from ADI

Give it a try. You’re only risking $100.
